More Progress

We have filmed a number of shots that are going to be used for our narrative, we filmed lots of different shots so that we had a range to chose from and to give us more variety when it came to editing our music video together.

We have also gone on to sync our song with our performance shots on our video to progress it a little bit further. We spent a whole media lesson focusing on our narrative shots for the music video. We filmed lots of tracking shots from many different angles to add more variety. These shots were of Romy walking through the corridors to add into the scene where she is angry.

Me and Olivia took it in turns to film but worked together when we were setting up shots and making sure they looked ok. We filmed Romy in the hall which we decided to film so that we had a few more performance shots that we could include within the video because we have found that there is so much narrative that could be filmed which was going to take us much longer than the time that we have been given.

Permission

I wrote an email to the music firm that our song was produced by to make sure we had the right to use the song and to make sure they knew that it was only being used for our media coursework and not a profitable reason.

Editing

Here is an example of the editing that we have been doing to complete our final music video. There are three print screens to show how the video has developed throughout the time we have been editing. You can see how the video has been cut in many different places to show the video is slowly coming together.

When we filmed more footage it had to uploaded onto our editing machine for us then to be able to play around with it and see where it looked good. The red circle on the third slide of this presentation shows all of the clips that have been uploaded which then had to be renamed so we knew which shots were good and which weren't so good and which ones we were going to include in our music video.

Progression of filming

We have planned to film the narrative in the classroom with the use of silly string. This is probably one of our most complicated shots because we have a lot of people involved in this part of the music video and to get everyone together in the same place at the same time was proving to be slightly difficult.

When we got on to filming this we had everyone set up in the classroom where we then filmed from many different angles to make sure we had a variety of shots. We also filmed a tracking shot which was going to be used to show the bullying of 'little Jessie'.

We then went on to film an establishing shot of the outside of the school that was going to feature at the very beginning of our video.
